Kids Worldwide

Kids Closer To Sports Uganda
Kids Closer To Sports Uganda (KCTSU) is a charity that teaches tennis to children and youth and helps provide them with with life skills through teaching basic skills and tactics of tennis, reading, painting and shading, teaching music and drama.

Given the lack of adequate recreational opportunities available to kids in our villages, our program seek to provide at-risk children and youth with a safe environment where they can practice these activities in order to make productive use of free time. In addition, we emphasize important core values like mutual respect, trust, fair-play and self-esteem as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Volunteers contributing to this program will plan and lead practices of understanding the activity.

Sports and recreation activities are valued as social connectors and powerful development tools to counter a lack of adequate opportunities for positive social interaction, unequal distribution of resources, a high rate of unemployment, a high rate of crime and other social ills.

Participants who can join our program to teach sports and games in rural Uganda or would like to introduce something in our village will work with our community teams after school. Sports have the power to bring people together. It speaks a universal language and cuts through culture, race and religion.

You can also volunteer to teach sports and games in Uganda as athletics, baseball, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, golf, hockey, martial arts, netball, polo, rugby, surfing, swimming, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and more!
